'Cause, not to be bitchy or anything, but EFFING HELL, am I the only person who has difficulty moving around AFF.net? Why can't it be easy, y'know? where you log in and everything's available to you. No need to figure out where things might be hidden under which menu etc.

I only have one fic archived there and I'm seriously considering just closing the account.  At this stage of my life, if it's too much trouble just to upload fics and - god forbid - upload and FIND my avatar, then pfft.

I don't think I even remember when Lee's birthday actually was anymore! ('November last year!' the Muse whispers) but this plot bunny was running around in my head around about that time and I thought she might like it. Not to fangurl too much, but Lee is one of my favourite authors and her work is (to me) captivating and stunning and evocative and erotic and about a hundred other things all rolled into one.

For anyone who didn't see this post over at LiveJournal

Hello IJ listies,

Not such great news. Doesn't look as though Portus is going to happen for me this year.  RL, new responsibilities, plus the need to get re-certified in massage means that the available fundage has to be channeled into my career rather than my love for the fandom and you lot.

I'm heartsick at having to make this decision, and I've agonized over it for quite some time, trying to get things to work out, but they haven't. On one hand, I feel utterly bereft for the missed opportunity to meet so many of you (and squee like girly-girls) but on the other hand, the pressure of trying to get it to all work out has lifted since I made my decision.

Make sure you all have at LEAST one drink for me at Portus!
